Title: Cherry Blossoms
Subject: Japanese Cherry Blossom Trees in Full Flower
Location: Tidal Basin, Washington, DC, USA
Story: “I was wandering in the groves of cherry blossom trees near the Tidal Basin when I looked up and saw the branches of a flowering tree framing the bare, twisted trunk of another tree in the background. I liked the contrast and used a wide angle setting to frame the image and a polarizer to saturate the colors.”
Camera: Nikon D80; Tamron 18-270mm ƒ/3.5-6.3 lens at 20mm; 1/60 sec at ƒ/8; ISO 100; hand-held.
