Congratulations to Florian Schulz, our 2008 Conservation Photographer of the Year. This annual award recognizes a special individual who has used his or her skills as a nature photographer to implement meaningful and measurable conservation efforts that inspire and educate the public about environmental concerns. A founding member of the International League of Conservation Photographers (ILCP), Florian’s Freedom to Roam project has developed over the years and we were pleased to see the volume of nominations recommending Florian as the recipient of this prestigious recognition. In the year ahead, we will be following his work and reporting through blog entries, special publication opportunities, and presentation venues. This Award is presented in alliance with the National Wildlife Federation, our 2008 Conservation Sponsor.
