  • Notes From the Field: “A translucent and symmetrical 12′ (4 meter) waterfall in Zion National Park, Utah. Lit only by a small patch of blue sky far above, my exposures here spanned from 10 to 30 seconds. This was my favorite, but I was limited by the size of the shooting space and I want to return with a slightly wider lens!” — Jeff Sullivan

Editor’s Review:

“Like a beam of light shining through the rocks, this artful capture of a waterfall in Zion National Park is a beautiful combination of light, color, and design. Slowing the shutter setting helped create a smooth and transparent view of the water rushing down the 12-foot drop to the rocks below. The subtle colors and sharp detail on both sides of the waterfall also add to the overall success of this image.”— Steve Freligh
