  • Notes From the Field: “In order to get a unique perspective of the waterfall, I climbed up the side of the wet slopes to a large rock where I could line up a tele-photo composition of the upper part of the waterfall. The hardest thing about making this shot was keeping the blowing spray and rain off the front of the lens long enough to capture a clean shot without fogging or water droplets.” — Joseph Rossbach

Editor’s Review:

“Here is another excellent waterfall image, but very different than the recent photo we featured. This shot offers the beautiful fluid motion of the water, yet adds an amazing assortment of details to the overall composition. I really like all the smaller waterfalls framing the image and bringing you into the center of the scene. The sharp focus on the green vegetation and rocks also contributes to the appeal of this shot. The only improvement I would make is my being there in person to enjoy the view!” — Steve Freligh
